i put all the compost into the lower garden. This will be the spot for this years tomatoes. 30 cu yards of black compost tilled in to 3000 sq ft and I still have light brown soil-sand. I am going to do one more till to blend it a bit better and then send in for soil test. Originally I was going to use P as my base..maybe OM level will be the new base. I think I might be comfortable pushing OM to 15-17%. As long as disease can stay away..easier in sand than clay,the higher OM will get me to awesome soil years faster.
