My budget for auction seed acquisition is spent. The addition of three new water chillers is worth more to me than a 2145. I have had return line crashes two years in a row now. Never again. Individual buckets, individual chillers...each plant getting a nutrient solution based on the observation of that plant..not the group. My top two Jan 1st starts have touched down in nutrient solution. Two weeks left for me to bring them to first blossom formation. I think I am about 3 days behind schedule but the next week will be important. Nutrient solution is mixed to about 2.2 EC with an n-p-k ratio of 3-2-4. The new seedlings are under 3100k CMH light at an intensity of 700 uMols PAR. The lights are on 16 hours per day. This intensity/timing calculates out to a Daily Light Integral of 40 which is the equivalent of Minnesota sunshine in May-June. Nutrient height has been dropped..net pots should be dry in about 1-2 days. The other 5 Jan 1st starts have been moved to an unchilled bucket. Still deciding on what learning experiment they will be subjected to.
