Today, I wanted to show off my 1049 Swain. She has been growing nicely and seems to be producing some really nice secondary vines off the main. I have been staking down my main vine and secondaries as well as removing the male blossoms. I have plans to set up my water system and sun shade shelter. She has been receiving advanced nutrients, but I am concerned that she may not be receiving enough potassium. Sometimes, the amendments in the soil are a bit too intense. I applied well aged horse manure this year throughout my garden and broad forked twice. I also completed tilling and cultivating and then resting the soil to encourage a strong profile.
