Need to come clean now. I challenged you because I was cocky and wanted to kick your ass in a good old competition.
Well here is what I did, Early this spring I took out 2 feet of dirt out of my greenhouses, installed 4 inch drain tile across the whole bottom, they are 18 inches apart, graded and empty into a common sump. Why??
Well I have a very high salt content and the salts leach up into me soil, this stopped that in its tracks.
Secondly, the water table is high and when we get a lot of rain the ground gets saturated and takes for ever to dry out, even in the greenhouse because of the water table.
BUT the biggest reason for this was to heat my ground from the bottom up. and add oxygen.
