Here is the 1421* Jutras at 20 dap. Today's measurements show that it weighs 50 pounds and is gaining roughly 13 pounds a day. The location in which this plant is being grown is far from ideal and this is thus more of an experiment than an actual competition fruit. I've learned a lot about the area in which I am growing and will thus strive to make the growing area more Ideal, starting with a soil test, roughly 3 to 4 inches is green-waste compost to help fix the sandy soil and to level out the slope on which I will be growing, which I will hopefully irradicate with a retaining wall about 25 feet from the highest part of the patch.I will also need to cut the surrounding shrubbery in order to let in more sunlight. A greenhouse would be nice to curb the constant 70 degree temperatures but I think that will have to wait.
