1766.5 DeBacco ’13 (F: 1676.5 Daletas x M: 1216.5 DeBacco) 12% or 8.5% heavy (according to GPC and Team-Pumpkin charts respectively)
While on the initial look the pumpkin looks impressive, look carefully and you will see large vertical split in the pumpkin that occurred during the carving process which goes from the eye all the way down and through the mouth. It is sad to see all the work put into growing the pumpkin end-up like this in the end. On the plus side the walls were nice and thick all around so there were no internal flaws with the pumpkin. The split occurred due to a carver’s error (by making the walls to thin) and not a pumpkin flaw.
