Since the sun is setting earlier and earlier and I did not want to be rushed with picking the pumpkin, I decided to take the entire day to check and recheck everything for the grand pumpkin harvest. I was able to get in this picture as I started clearing the area around the pumpkin for the harvest. It was nice to be able to take my time making sure everything was in order. As the tripod was being assembled the neighbors all came out to see the process. I let them know it was going to be a hurry-up and wait kind of scenario but that gave everyone time to talk which had not happened in a long time. It is great how pumpkins can bring people together!
