The calf straw/hay is working well to slow the weeds. It's the first year I have tried it. This photo is before I buried the vines. I haven't buried many vines, in the last week or so due to the work on the farm. It will take me a while to bury all the vines. ( over 30 plants, I KNOW I'M CRAZY ) I won't grow this many next year. I normally grow 10-15.
