Well if everything dies now I can not complain about the year.I am just so pleased with the early pumpkins and melons that we took to the fair and the personal best in pumpkin and watermelon. The patches are about done with mildew and stem rots and gains are small. But it is nice to have this many pumpkins still there. I have 3 pumpkins still here at home that are 678 pounds to 950 pounds and still gaining a few pounds a day. I have 2 nice ones at the farm patch around 450-550 pounds with 2 smaller ones around 350. Joe has 2 left at his place around 600 pounds.
Joe says he has a family thing that weekend of Anamosa and I may have to bring his also for him. I am not sure on the rules there on someone else bring there pumpkin.
