glad to see andy wolf's big top circus came to town , cuz now i feel a little less nuts. results from last night. at midnight it was still 56 outside and 58 inside. never woke up at 3 am, but this morning at the coldest before sun up there was no difference in temps. basically it just buffered the cold a little longer. but good news is at 8:30 am with mixed clouds and sun, it is 70 inside the greenhouse and 59 outside in the sun. need to get this figured out before going to work tomorrow. i am looking for more gradual heat increases and decreases. tomorrow morning i am going to have to vent early before going to work, but that seems like it should work out just fine as the pre-dawn morning air temp is the same inside or out. my blankets and the added tarp directly over the blanket do a good job at retaining the internal pumpkin heat. those will not come off tomorrow until i get a break from work and remove them mid morning. with an air temp expected of low 40s tomorrow morning, and the surface temp of the pumpkin at 61 degrees this morning when taking off the blankets at 8:30 am. while at home today, i am venting on just one side as soon as the temps reach 80 and see how the temps react. and then vent both sides if things get too hot. when the temps get hotter all week, i can vent 3 sides or all four. i like andy wolf's design where if it gets too hot with his style, just take some off the encompassing wall sections to regulate. brilliant andy. i will not be surprised if more growers do not start gathering supplies and this becoming the norm as the quest for "more" continues and mother nature keeps forcing our hands. i want "MOOOOOOORERRREEEE!"
