Lost one of my long gourds today at 95 inches that was still young after the storms last night. I still have 3 at 91,93 and 95 inches and the long one around 113 that I may need to pick soon so it does not end up on the ground.
I also lost one pumpkin off my 688 plant but was my smallest in this patch but was the best looking pumpkin around 500 pounds. I found a soft spot on the bottom and it will be mush soon.
The storms last night dumped anywhere from 3 to 10 inches just east of me and there were several rescues from people stuck in there cars from standing water some were swept away but were Ok. we ended up with 5 last night but had 1 inch earlier for a total of 6 in 24 hrs. The last 5 were in 3 hrs time.
The pumpkins are sapping everywhere and will be lucking to have anything in a couple days. The plants have mildew bad and this weather is not helping. Other then that everything is peachy.
