the post on day 60 should have read 1261 lbs for "it". 1270 was on day 61 and this morning on day 63 "it" is 182-108-105 or 395 ott. and estimated at 1288 lbs. with only 2 days of nice sunshine in the past 5 days and cool cloudy lower 70 degree days the other 3 with nights in the lower 50s, "it" slowed down to just over 9 lbs per day and is sitting at an estimate of 1288 lbs. starting to snout or more like it "shelf" out a bit above the blossum which is cool as it now is beginning to do a final elongation push. definately still in growth mode cuz the one shoulder has finally got close enough to the main vine that a flexible styrofome piece was placed between the two with plenty of slack for the pumpkin to push the vine over without stress. warm 86 degree weather today and then back into the high 70s the rest of the week should kick them both in gear again a bit i imagine cuz they both responded well after the the last cool 5 day period like that. "the freak" showed the same slower growth for that 5 days and with both pumpkins showing similar drops, it has me feeling good that "it" is still moving along although slowly coming towards the end. i hope 400 ott is reached in about a week cuz that is a number i never thought i would reach in my lifetime. the "freak" is sitting at 165-88-95 or 348 and estimate of 884 lbs on day 56.
