the "freak" from the stem side on day 45. had to remove another secondary as it is growing wider had to whack it for clearance. the vine was chopped off after the pumpkin and the pumpkin twisted several times for more vine clearance. in doing so, the vine sort of got some sharp angles to it. one of them is now less then inch from the pumpkin and styrofome padding has been placed to allow the pumpkin to slowly nudge the vine over with the slack it has. it should be ok, but some stem stress may show itself in a couple weeks as the pumpkin keeps pushing it over.
