warm weather and sunshine. it was still 54 here last night, but the past 2 days of sun and 87 and 84 degree temps did the trick. back to 31 lbs per day the last 2 days for "it" and sits at 166-99-95 this morning at 6 am on day 44 and estimated at 978 lbs. i will take some pics on day 45 tomorrow when it hopefully goes over a 1000 lb estimate. when it does that, it will officially become the highest ott total by me and a new personal best for ott measurements. the 1147 was estimated at 997 lbs last year and went heavy. i am glad i laid off the big drench push i was going to give them to get them kickstarted again. patience and sunshine did the trick. and if that is the case, no sense getting them all charged up with ferts to go along with 95 degree temps on sat and sun and hot weather. most splits happen around day 45 to 55, so i will let mother nature do the pushing and trust my soil. but, if i see another big drop in daily gains and the weather has been good, then out comes the ferts, both foliar and drench.
