In the lower country near our home which is at an elevation 5765 feet, the sandstone cliffs and bluffs are lighter in color. They change to red nearby. We have the same rocks outcropping around the Uinta Mtns that are in the Arches, Canyonlands and Zions National Parks in the southern part of the State.
