as the whitesox opened up a 5-0 lead on the scrubbies, i decided to try my own luck out in the patch with some hits but have so far struck out. i went to use the fly swatter and as i was about to whack a svb sitting on a burnt leaf that i could care less about, i broke the fly swatter in half with the force of the snap before hitting the svb. doh!!!! so i modified the fly swatter as seen in the picture above by adding on a 3' piece of garden stake to the cracked off section. it works great and has nice reach....but i went 0-3 as they moved to fast before i could get to them. jermaine dye just hit another homer run as i type....you can put it on the boaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrd, YYYYYYYYESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6-0 over the baby bears. nice. funny how the dragon flies are following the svbs with me like a wolf pack. where ever the svbs go, so do i, and the dragonflies follow and perch on nearby bamboo stakes. 4 or 5 dsifferent kinds of dragonflies roaming the patch today. love to see them, hopefully my coating of demand cs tonight will not hurt that population too much.
