Wrapped, watered, wired and ready!
The near corner will be my entry point and I will be able to roll down from the top during the day for ventilation. The other end is sealed and also has a roll down vent from the top.
At noon today under cloudy condions it is 87 degrees inside the hoop while the outside temp is 61 degrees. I've also got my remote temperature/humidity sensor inside so that once I've planted I can monitor the overnight temps and adjust the heater as desired. Last gadget is a clamp-on fan that I picked up and installed on the top beam of the hoophouse to assist with venting during hotter days.
Thanks to my buddy Kent for the help with wrapping and cutting the poly to fit and to my buddy Steve who got me the poly from his jobsite for free....unbelievable how much waste there is on a high-rise construction project in the core of the city....oh well lucky me.
Used and assortment of left over copper pipe from my recent bathroom reno, rebar and broken ski poles from over the years as legs to secure the ribs of the structure into the ground.
