Had a wind storm on 3/30 that blew the cover off my hut. Next day put it back up and re-dug the ditches to bury the plastic. Made some screw-in brackets to secure the plastic to the bows about 12-18 inches above the ground. Took 1 1/2 ID black plastic pipe and cut it into 4 quarters lenghwise. Cut the strips into about 4 inch pieces. Drilled a 2 screw holes in each end of the pieces. Screwed these pieces with concave side to each bow with 2 self taping 10x5/8 screws. This way the wind will have to blow over the entire hut or rip plastic off as is secured to make hut one piece. Today Dori and I will be transplanting tomatoes into Mater hut. Biggest plants are about 12 inches high. Hope they will do well as weather appears to be moderating. We are between storms right now.
