Checked the ground temperatures in my pumpkin hut. Turned on the soil heating cables 2 days ago to check them out. Ground temp at 8" is 60F, so tempature is coming up fine. Surface ground temp last night was still 26F even though it get very warm in day, (78FG). Will be some time before ready to put on pumpkins. Maters and peppers will be ready to go in mater hut in 7-10 days. Temperatures in mater hut was 26F at surface and 118 for the high. Ground temps at 8" below surface was 50F. Need to be able to keep surface ground temps above freezing at night.
