The 1502, 60 days old. Today I pollinated the first fruit, growing 6,6 meters/ 22 feet out on the main vine. I use the 998 Pukos as pollinator. As you can see the stem is extremely short.

Unfortunately I published the wrong pic and date. Here's the correct one: 40 days old the weight is 276 kg/ 608 lbs. At the pic you can see how I use a fan to dry the stem from rottening. The dark spot on the stem is the beginning of a rotten spot.

45 days old, the weight is 306 kg/ 674 lbs. The growing speed is now extremely slow, and the bad weather seem to continue.

50 days old, and the weigt is 333 kg/ 733,5 lbs. The circ is 357 cm/ 140,5", OTT 829 cm/ 326,4". The slow growing speed probably depends on two things: 1. The bad weather. 2. I think the pumpkin was overheated in the beginning. I normaly use a white blanket when I cover the pumpkin from the sun. I don't know why, but this year I used a dark blanket which overheated the pumpkin, and caused it to ripen to early. Every year I seem to learn something new.

The 1502 is today 120 days old and I won't weigh the pumpkin anymore until the Swedish weigh-off on Saturday (Sept 29). It will be interesting to see if it weighs more or less than 500 kg/ 1100 lbs. I will follow it only with my indicator-clock, just to check that it keeps increasing about 1 kg/ 2 lbs per 24 hours. The clock moves half a round per 24 hours, which is about 1 mm of increase of the diameter. The clock only moves on daytime, it’s starts at about 10.00 am and kip moving until about 15.00 pm. Rest of the time it’s standing still

125 days old, I cut the 1502 off. Thanks to the fact that I grew it on a weing board, I could easily move the pumpkin out of the patch with the help of an iron-bar lever and two long steel tubes. In a way it’s pity, it would been interesting to see how many more days it could have grown.
