One of the videos I watched said that pests and disease levels will vary greatly throughout the year, as they each have a natural cycle they follow. Something new to think about. Disease took out the plant that was growing my last tomato. I think I overwatered the plant and/or somehow facilitated the disease... 100 percent an overzealous grower error. The tomato on the plant was approaching 26" but as the xylem got ruined by the disease the plant wilted and the tomato got severely dehydrated (a week of unseasonably hot weather didn't help).

It was unbelievable how much weight it lost the plant itself might have been sucking the juice back out of the tomato?! It lost a good inch in circumference and a pound in weight... A bonafide nightmare but oh well.
