Here is a shot of the patch as it currently stands. It's on a bit of a rise so it goes back a little bit further. On the right side of the frame, I have been terminating those vines mainly due to space constraints.
On the left side, it has fared much better. I have had a lot of wilting and the left side gets late day shade from a nearby apple tree. It seems to have weathered all the problems much better.
You can see that the growing tips of the vines have a yellowish cast to them... Not good.
