Here's my line up for this year. (subject to change) but I think it's pretty much locked. Still waiting on a 1422.5 Giarrusso

Sorry they keep coming up side ways. Sometimes you just can't control how they grow.
Thursday, March 27 View Page

After much concern and trouble with my first plantings. This one came from that batch. The 1649 Lancaster is IN THE HOOUUUUSSE!!!!!!
Wednesday, May 28 View Page
I haven't posted in awhile because I haven't been able to post pics so hope this one works. How ever my plants are doing great My 1649 is about 7 feet long with it's first male flower on the 27th . The 1746 is starting to run the 334 Arnold is building. My own seeds look good. the 1309 Connolly looks good and its parent seed 1422.5 Giarusso is getting bigger. I think I over did it because I gave up on some seeds that ended up germing.

Saw some disease on one of my 1309 club seed plants. Haven't used any treatments yet. Any recommendations?
Saturday, June 7 View Page
This is also weird. Only the 1309's did this with the vines.
Saturday, June 7 View Page
Missed this this morning. Pumpkin about 8 to 9 feet out on my 1649 Lancaster. this onewill be selfed because there are no other mails on my other plants.
Saturday, June 7 View Page
SVB traps set because I believe I saw 2 yesterday. And I saw a cucumber beetle but it got away before I could get it.
Saturday, June 28 View Page
This is my 1649 Lancaster. Selfed 14 days ago. First time measure 83 inches OTT this morning. Still not sure if it's a keeper yet. Pollinated a bunch this week.
Saturday, June 28 View Page
Here is what the patch looks like as of yesterday. Might pull down the fences to let them grow. Have not seen any disease as far as I can tell. My systemic really took care of the cuke beetles and I found 8 SVB's in the traps and have not seen any flitting around.

This is the 1309 Connolly club seed. There are actually 3 plants here 2 1309's on the left and a 1422 Giarruso on the right. That will be pulled as I only used it for pollination. But both 1309's are doing so well I couldn't bring myself to pull one. We'll see how that goes.

Found this little jewel this morning on my 127 young.

Pulled half a plant today. This one just couldn't figure out which way was up. the leaves and the pumpkin grew under the vine and up. a secondary looks fine.

Fat blossom girl you make my pumpkin world go round. Up until today the blossom end on this one was bigger than the pumpkin. t was about 2 1/2". What does the blossom end tell about how big a pumpkin might grow?
Friday, July 4 View Page
Very disappointed today. I had a 1649 Lancaster x 1756 Lancaster aborting today. That leaves only one pumpkin on that plant. 1649 selfed at 143.5 ott at 20 DAP. Hope that one keeps it up.

Just got back from the Marshfield fair. I took second place with 471lbs. It was my own seed from last years Marshfield fair 393 so I'm pretty happy with what I was able to do. Congrats to Steve Hallowell with 649lbs. First place . Bret (rowefields)452lbs. and Steve schiess 320lbs. Had a real good time talking pumpkins with everybody.
Saturday, August 16 View Page
Correction Steve's pumpkin was 694lbs.
Saturday, August 16 View Page
My 1649 Lancaster is still growing. Few inches at a time. Really hoping it makes it to Topsfield or Frerich's I think it's 650 plus.

Lost My 1746x1756 yesterday. It was looking like it was putting on some more weight. Then I noticed some mold and almost put my finger through it. It wasn't very big and didn't tape it but around 300lbs. And last week I lost 2 1309 club seeds. When I cut up the 1309x1422 the walls were 9 inches thick. Saved the seeds only about 30. Lesson learned make sure you put something under it, don't leave it on the ground and protect the vines at the stem. And the 1649xselfed taped 311 this morning. I really hope it holds.

This is my first personal best for this year. 471lbs at the Marshfield fair. I grew it from my own seed last year 393lbs at the Marshfield fair.

Unfortunately all my club seed pumpkins rotted out. My fault for not paying attention to it more. this was the first one I cut open to get rid of it. The wall were 9" thick. I never even got to tap it. I think it would have been heavy. (I know shoulda coulda woulda) Only got 50 seeds I think I will try this one next year.

This is the stump. really should have paid more attention to this one. wa wa wa.

Durham fair pumpkin on the left. For real this time.

Also it was a cool shot of my last three pumpkins. the one on the right is my personal best if it makes it to Topsfield. About 700lbs. and the one in the back is another one from my own 393 last year. I think it will beat 393 but not by much.

My wife's first pumpkin. very dark orange.
Thursday, September 25 View Page
Not bad for a plant I was going to pull after using it for a pollinator. This plant was a maim vine and about 4 or five side vines.

Little fish in a big fish pond. Had a lot of fun putting most of these on the scale at Durham. came in 21st. One shy of getting a ribbon, but oh well.

Here is my PB 783lbs 1649lancaster x selfed from Topsfield. Really happy with how it turned out and was 14% heavy.

Today is harvest day. opened up a gooey mess.
Saturday, November 1 View Page
Very disappointed. Couldn't believe how many seeds sprouted. I think it was the 3 days this week that were almost 70 deg. and the nice moist pumpkin goo.
Saturday, November 1 View Page
Another view. I did get about 50 seeds so I'll dry them and see what happens. Some opened up while I was washing the goo off them. And the seeds were pretty small compared to my other pumpkins I harvested from.
