Any ideas as to how to get gas out of a gas tank? My wife's Chrysler 300M had an engine part come through the bottom of the engine. No surprise there as it had a ton of miles on it and I got way more than my monies worth on the thing. The problem is that she filled it before it blew the motor. You can't siphon gas in a new car. The hose just doesn't get down there. Fuel lines are on the top and there is no drain plug. Any quick and easy solutions?

Fast and easy I would just hit the bottom of the tank with a screw driver, and collect the gas in a bucket. Messy but it works.

when changing fuel pumps on newer vehicles it is necessary to drop the gas tank. I have done this by disconnecting the outlet fuel line and connecting an aftermarket electric fuel pump to it. I dont know how much one costs, it has been 25 years since i bought mine.

If it has an electric fuel pump in the tank you can release the pressure in a fuel line under the hood, then cut and extend the fuel line with a rubber hose. Run the hose to another car or to a gas can. Then turn the ignition to the on position, this should pump the fuel out.
Warning: the gas is under high pressure in all the lines under the hood. At a minimum cover the area that you are opening with a rag. It will spray a bit of gas when you open the line up.
You can tell if you have an electric fuel pump in the tank by listening hard for it when you turn the key to run.

if you are junking the car anyway, go with the screw driver method, although I would use a metal punch if you have one. run the car up ramps or lift the rear end so you can fit a bigger bucket under it. be ready with additional buckets to account for the full tank of gas. filter it before putting it into another vehicle.
