0.12 cents per gallon in Venezuela, would almost be worth it to rent an oil tanker and fill it up and bring it back. lol Of course Venezuela is a unfriendly country to Americans, so I don't think that would be a good choice.

4.09 diesel, 4.15 gas. Only $140 to fill the tank, but that runs about 3 weeks.

$3.88 here. Where is the difference in Indiana and Ohio prices justified?

Here you go, Joe. I saw this the other day and thought it was neat by state. I believe it is mostly in taxes since distribution would be similar, but I'm not certain.

They should have eliminated gas taxes during the recession, 50 cents less per gallon is significant. And now they are making it so expensive to build coal plants that they will not be able to build new ones. And they just closed down a few in Ohio and it made electricity prices go up for small business, they blamed Kasich. But it was not his fault at all it was the EPA going overboard, and the President supporting it. The environment needs protected within reason, not without reason.

They should end subsidies for oil companies and use that to pay for what they would have used the gas tax to pay for.

$4.28 for diesel and just under 4 for unleaded. You would think with all of the oil Alaska has supplied for BP, the Brits and the rest of the world. Alaska might get a discount. LOL yea right.

Yep we do get a share of the mineral extraction. It's called being an owner state. Unlike the rest of you lower 48ers who give it all away. Governor Hammond was wise enough to set up the Permanent Dividend Fund. In return we get an annual sum but cannot own outright the subsurface rights beneath any property we own. Unlike some parts of the south that have turned hillbilly's into millionaires overnight. Ricky Bobby goes commercial fishing on his jet ski. Did you see that episode? Alaska is doing just fine but if it's that shitty where you live LIpumpkin just jump in the car and come on up we will accommodate ya.

What chaps my ass is why the price has risen and why all the free market people won't reel in the speculators. Supply and demand is no longer setting the price anymore. Why won't Congress address the real problem. Investment banks using way over leveraged buys are killing us at the pump. Instead they divide us and keep us fighting over silly side issues. IMHO.

And if you live in Anchorage no sales tax. Living in Alaska is as close to heaven as you can get. On a clear day I can see all of you lower 48ers from here. Life is good!

Priced in gold, gas is the cheapest its ever been. It's only if you're paying with these ridiculous, ass-wipe paper currencies that prices are going up. In a truly free market you can transact in whatever currency you want, be it gold, silver, paper, bitcoin, etc. Such a practice would now be easier than ever thanks to technological advances.
Central bank induced inflation is the real culprit here.

In 2000, the average price of gold was ~$300/oz., with the average price of gas ~$1.50, meaning an ounce of gold would buy ~200 gallons of gas.
Today, gold is selling at $1670/oz., with gas prices averaging ~$4, so today an ounce of gold will buy you 417.5 gallons of gas.

What ticks me off is these oil companies are using any excuse to raise the price no matter what......its all about money for the oilmen no morals in their minds.....
