Yesterday the National Weather Service confirmed it was an EF1 tornado that hit our place last week. Cleanup is going to be a long slow process, there are hundreds of down and damaged trees across the farm. All the time I spent this spring installing posts and support wire for the pumpkin patch wind fence and shade cloth was gone in seconds. I'm trying to look on the bright side and take this as an opportunity to move the patch to better soil and make significant upgrades for next season. I guess there is nothing a guy can do to prepare his patch for a tornado!
