Got the pumpkins setup on their boards. I started with sand over the drip to level the ground but didn't have enough so I decided to use perlite, it's easy to deal with and seemed to work well. It's perlite, a layer of 6 mil plastic then the cement board with a half inch of sand for the pumpkin. I'm making it up as I go, hopefully this works. I'm wondering if I should have painted the board white to keep it cooler. The 5'x6' space seems awfully optimistic for a guy who has never got a pumpkin to the scale lol. 2641 x 2618 DAP 9
