I have decided to go with my original plan.
1142 Van Kooten (backup 1079 Frei)
842 Eaton (backup 1378 Pitura)
I only have one 842 and multiples of all the other crosses I started, so I'll give the 842 a chance even if it is the smallest plant so far.
