It was a difficult cull but unfortunately the 1676 had to get cut. The 1883 and 992 are fighting it out in the other hoop house. I had to remove the plastic today and lay shade cloth over the hoops because summer is arriving this weekend. I was going away for the weekend and before I left I placed a chair over the tip of the plant for shade. Unfortunately a storm came through and knocked the chair over crushing the main vine on the 1549. My secondaries all stopped growing and only have two secondaries after the pumpkin. June 7th pollination and is only around 300lbs and 10lbs a day. I hope she continues to develop the “Nuclear Orange “ as Doc would say.
