It sounds good but at the risk of appearing stupid, what’s a puff ball?

A giant circular type mushroom . Got another tonite ,shaped like a round field pumpkin. My wife and kids hate it. They come in the cool dampfall or end of summer. The 2 on Tuesday were 12" in cir. The one tonite was 18" It maybe done. Jim

Many years ago I read about them , I had a place where I could find 30 to 50 of them at a time. In what I read it said they had to be perfectly white inside a tinge of pink could poison you, might not be true?

Yes Baitman, When in doubt, throw it out. Luke, we would find them in pastures when they were done and kick them like a soccer ball. They would explode into a brown and yellow cloud. Ha Ha. A friend used to pick at his grandparents on the Gaspe Penn in Quebec. When I shared one with him on Tuesday. He was really excited and was taking some to his mother in Arnprior. A great treat for some people.
