2nd tallest amaranth in the garden this year. A 21'11" Giant Amaranth (Amaranthus australis) weighing 87 pounds with a 29 1/2 inch stem base circumference. This Amaranth lost several feet at top when trying to straighten out stem earlier in the season, but still made it to almost 22 feet.
