I took the afternoon off work to do a little patch prep. Pictured here is 50 yards of mushroom compost (two tri-axel dump truck loads) and 100 bags of leaves. All the leaves and about 35 yards of compost were spread this afternoon. I set aside about 15 yards for next spring planting mounds, vine covering etc. The plan is to mold board plow the whole thing under in the next couple days.

The mushroom compost is aged several years. We have used this material before. It does an excellent job of conditioning the soil.
