Today was another day that just proves how bad a year it has been for me. My vine is showing signs of a problem as it looks to be starting to have vine rot I must keep an eye on it and make sure it dont travel up into the pumpkin and rot the pumpkin out. I may have to harvest it early and Topsfield is still 2 weeks away. So I started to clean out the patch and uncovered a ground hornets nest and they really started to swarm me I was lucky enough not to get stung at all but just more fun to deal with as this most dissapointing season draws closer to an end. I will try to get a photo of the last pumpkin I have left taping out at 697 pounds.
