With four weeks left to go until the weigh-off I am keeping my fingers crossed that no disasters will occur. The 1385 is growing at a steady 15 pounds per day now and may be a new personal best by the end of the season. The 1053 Pappas is doing about the same and will probably finish in the 750 to 850 pound range. Somehow I have managed to keep the powdery mildew beast at bay this year. Nearly every season in the past I have had serious infections at this time of year. The plants still look very healthy.
