Another picture of the 1231.5 blossom end. That is a 12" ruler that easily fits lenght wise into the blossom end.
I think it is amazing the way the AG fruit can form and fold itself into almost any kind of shape. It is also amazing the amount of pressure they can with stand. That has got to be somewhere around 400 pounds of pressure pushing down towards the blossom. This fruit is a semi-wheel and leans forward, all of the weight over the blossom.
It is still growing, so I expect to go out one day to do my checks and find it split, I mean, how much more can this thing take?
