On the right: 62.8 Wursten 08 (Glazebrook line) - previously weighed
On the left: 90.6 Wursten 08 (Glazebrook line) - weighed today
The 90.6 was 47 inches long (120 cm) from tip to tip. CC: 105.5 EE: 62.6 SS: 29.9 OTT: 198"
Currently leading EGVGA marrow contest by 40 lbs.
In other patch news: 1018 Van Hook went down today to stem split. 350-400 lb range. 1378 Pitura lost entire stump and most of the plant. Just a few leaves left. Now 600-650 lbs and hardly growing. 893 Privitera - 400-450 lb range on 200 sq ft plant. Main vine is taped together after getting ripped apart by a storm.
Tallest sunflower ended up at 442 cm (14 ft 6in.) Not a single long gourd on either plant. No females. Biggest tomato has to be harvested yet. Maybe 2 lbs. A few giant beets still going. Tallest corn stalk around 14 ft 6in.
Very little sun the last month. One of the darkest summers ever recorded. Temperatures have been around normal (65-70 max).
