Could this spell the end for the 1178 Lovelace? I only gained 6 lbs over the last two days. While inspecting the fruit I found a two inch long stem end split. I hadn't checked for splits in awhile so this could be an old on. It was very dry and relatively small. I think it may have been there long enough to start healing without me. However I cleaned it good with peroxide and pasted it over with sulfur powder. We really need rain. The sprinkler just isn't cutting it.
