boys are still growing steady and are starting to get a gnarley look to them. i will get some pics tomorrow and take off the tarps to try to show the pinkish yellow and white color they are both getting. no beauties for sure, but getting a nasty solid look to them. cantoloped skin with more cantaloping each day as the rib lines deepen and shoulders and asses getting bigger. widest points of both pumpkins are closer to the ground which is nice for possible heavy. more meat on the saddlebags the better. both are dropping in daily gains as to be expected as the maturing process is kicking in. i believe both have some good growth left in them with warm temps in mid to high 80s predicted every day for the next 10 except one cooler day. just need to squeeze out an estimate of 93 more lbs for cosmo (1446 werner) to hit 1000 as the 60 day numbers are 157 99 95 for or 351"ott and estimate of 907 pounds. that is an average of 10.6 lbs.per day for the past 6 days. georgie boy is plugging along nicely too at a 12.5 pound pace the past 6 days and is 153 91 90 or 334" ott and estimate of 783 pounds at 52 days old. that means georgie boy is behind overall in growth by about 40 pounds if both were the same age. i think georgie will be about 865 pounds on day 60. 2 chances for 1000 lbs still looking good at this point with cosmo leading the race.
