day 54 for cosmo (1446 werner) and has averaged 12.5 pounds the past 7 days and is 153.5 96 93 and approximately 843 pounds. i need to coax about 157 more pounds to be an estimated 1000. if i can average 8 pounds for the next 20 days it could be done. day 46 for georgie on the 1041 mckie is sitting at 147 88 88 and approximately 710 pounds. it is averaging a little over 16 pounds per day over the past 7. i am hoping this one comes in heavy by its genetics and anything near 950 would get me over the 1000 pound hump. the cool weather has kept them slow and steady and warm weather is around the corner. i am hoping that the cool weather hasn't started the shut down process and has just stalled them into a longer growing cycle. wishful thinking on my part. 53 degrees last night and is feeling very much like fall. no matter what, if i can get these 2 to the weigh off, i will be happy in such a crazy growing year. if i hit 1000 it will be icing on the cake. and if i can beat george j. by one pound, i will never put this silly sitcom to rest. the question will be if i get both to the show, which one do i pick? that was george's predicament last year. he picked wrong and his 1066 was entered as an exhibition and his 988 lost to my 997 for the 3rd place and spot up by the podium. on the way pulling out of the weigh off last year, i thanked him sarcastically again for the 3rd place plack and ribbon and the extra hundo i made up in cash prizes to make up for the hundo i bet and lost to him for the first to break 1000 lbs. it is all part of the game. i still would rather have been in his shoes and had one get to 4 digits. that is the ultimate prize in my book. best of luck to ya georgie boy, and hopefully the best man will win....and we know which man i am speaking of, the fat, loud and obnoxious freak of a human being....me.
