Strange things happened in the patch...I decided a few weeks ago to cull all pumpkins and go with the two that were set. Went to remove the pumpkins that were culled out of the patch to get them out before they started to rot. Well, one pumpkin was still attached to the vine and growing FAST! We measured it before we culled it on the 1423 Wallace, it measured 221 inches = 237 pounds. I had asked for help from my better half to remove the heavier culled pumpkins and was told it was still attached. What? NO! I culled that weeks ago. It's bigger, lets tape it! It's been culled and in the patch still, 237 pounds too much for one person to move. I still can't believe I missed that one. It would have snapped itself anyway, but 237 pounds!
Other two pumpkins are doing great. 1149 Pukos is at 310" = 629 pounds, 1423 Wallace is 289" = 512 pounds.
