The late pollination on the main of the 1420.5 (July 19) is the last one I have on this plant.
I'm wondering about the main vine that only has grown 5' and has 10 small leaves on it after the fruit.
As you can see the vine has lifted quite abit and I've been supporting it along the way, however I am concerned that being so short after the fruit, it may cause additional stem stress along the way. Today it was blowing in the wind slightly and I was tempted to terminate it after the pumpkin to avoid an issue.
Any thoughts?
