Brian and I decided to cut up and weigh the 824* Brunst squash on the bathroom scales. It weighed 469 lbs... It was 21% heavey...wow!
The two dill rings were deep internal cracks. The fruit would have likely failed later on anyway.
I had planted this plant in this spot as a genetics plant only amd I was a little excited as the fruit took off early in the season. The planting site was basically unamended, other than a planting pit and some composted manure just before planting.
We did decide to save seeds, if any one wants some, just let me know. The squash will be known as the:
