Now, more bad news. The wet weather we've been having has wrecked havoc with the Stidwill plant. In the last few days, leaves have been falling over. A closer look showed that pale brownish areas were developing on the stems, expanding and turning the stems into mush, then rotting the leaves. My main root gives way a little when pushed on...phytophthora, I believe. I've done surgery, removing 4 of the first side vines, and 1/4 of the remaining leaves in a effort to slow it's progress and save my other 2 plants. I've also drenched the remaining 3 plants with Orthenex and Infuse(propioconazole). If this stuff spreads, my season is over.
