Found frass on the back up plant today, upon closer look found main vine had a 3" split and frass.
Found six places where the #&%$#@ svb have been.
Did some surgery and managed to remove three intact larvae and I think I was able to at least skew the other three with my pick and a thin wire. I let the wounds dry in the sun for an hour or so then packed the wounds with captan paste.
I will now hope for the best.
