this photo taken on 7/27. pumpkin is now 50 inches around and growing fast - or fast to me hahaha. i had to raise the two vines on top of chicken wire as our gophers are so bad here. i also planted them in holes lined with chicken wire. the gophers destroy anything here but this is definitley working. vines are getting big too but it is hard to bury the vines hahaha. today pumpkin is sixty inches - two days after last photo. i am not sure if this is fast or not but it is growing about five inches a day right now. steve
