Lots of rain and cooler. The pumpkin growth has slowed. My home computer is down with a virus so no pictures to post until(if) I get it fixed. I haven't had much time to work in the garden in the last week, so my vines are getting a bit unruley. The short stem on the Werner continues to be a problem. A small transverse crack at the junction of the stem and vine has formed and I'm afraid that if I attempt to move the pumpkin (still only at 75 degrees to the main vine), it'll snap off. I still havn't culled the second pumpkin on this plant since I may have to go with it. The main pumpkin will definitely put pressure on the main vine if I don't fix this. The part of the pumpkin on the side of the cracked stem seems to be growing less than the opposite side.
