I found ROT! The rain must have found a place on the top of the main vine to pool up and rot had set in without me knowing it. I pushed on the stump with my finger and it went straight in. The picture shows the stump after I pulled on the rotted section and it came right off. I could see the rotten goop filling the entire stump. Looks like my shot at a 1000 pounder will have to be with the 1502 Wallace plant.
