This is the stump of the 893. The 1096 stump is equally as thick. Both plants look healthy. The leaves on the first set of secondary vines are beginning to show some age but other than that things are going well. I have noticed some powdery mildew on some leaves so I will take care of that this weekend. Also, I forgot to note that now that all of my pumpkins are set I have gone through both plants and have cut off all of the males. I decided to do this so the plants don’t waste any energy on making flowers.
