I culled the second Jutras pumpkin last night and and main pumpkin has responded by putting on 18 pounds in the last 24 hours- 150 OTT for an estimated 80 pounds.
My second Rodonis pumpkin pollination has taken with the pumpkin swelling to 18 inches circumference at day 9.
I've had alot of leaf burn on the Stidwill plant due to the heat and lack of rain. I don't seem to be able to water it enough. I think my problem is sandy soil with not enough organics. I'll have to load this area with extra compost in the fall. Pictures to follow in a day or 2.
