Ryan's long gourds are doing fantastic. All three plants have reached the top of the trellis and are moving across the top.
I had a big afternoon here as I spent most of it in the patch, weeding, trenching, burying etc. It has been hot here again tha last couple days and I have been running the misters. I have two 6 gal/hr misting nozzels on each plant, set to mist for 5 minutes out of 15 from 11:00am to 5:00pm. The plants are showing no signs of hest stress now.
I am really impressed with the roots I am finding ahead of the vines. Lots of them pokeing threw the surface between the vines.
I pollinated a female on the 235 Donkers watermelon this moring at about 6ft out.
